Pacific Dental Care offers two types of Teeth Whitening methods to choose from: “In-Office” and “At-Home” Whitening Systems.

Clinically safe and effective, both methods will assist you in achieving a brighter and whiter smile. The dentist will consult with you to prescribe the adequate dosage of bleaching gel to achieve your desired tooth color. The level of whiteness achievable is determined by the severity of the discoloration of your teeth. A treatment regimen specifically designed for you will be recommended for optimal results.

In-Office Whitening System…One time, one-hour treatment for quick results

Ideal for instant results and the perfect choice for the busy individual, our In-Office Whitening System is a revolutionary tooth whitening procedure that is safe, effective and fast. In just over one hour, your teeth will be dramatically whiter.

The procedure is simple.  A highly concentrated bleaching gel is determined and prescribed by our dentist.  The treatment begins with a short preparation to isolate your lips and gums.  Then, a highly concentrated bleaching gel prescribed by the dentist is applied and activated.  Teeth typically become at least four to six shades whiter.  In most cases, teeth get even whiter a couple days after the treatment.

At-Home Bleaching…Dentist Prescribed and Monitored

Our At-Home System is a cost-effective alternative for teeth with mild discoloration only.  In the case of deep discoloration, an “At-Home” regimen is recommended after your “In-Office” treatment to maintain whiteness.

Because treatment is conducted for a period seven consecutive days, results are longer-lasting, more stable and uniform. 

Bleaching at home is very easy.  Here are the simple steps:

● Our dentist will create a very soft, thin custom bleaching tray for you to ensure a comfortable and precise fit. 

● After receiving your custom mouth tray, you will receive bleaching gel, whitening tooth paste and detailed instructions.

● It is advisable that you bleach at night, while sleeping, for 8-10 hours.

● Brush teeth, dry off teeth and gums with cotton, gauze or swab and allow teeth to dampen slightly before inserting the tray.   Drop 2-3 drops of bleach for each tooth, insert tray and wipe the outside with wet cotton or wet gauze.


Preparation Before Treatment

It is necessary that your teeth are in healthy condition before you begin your treatment.  Treatments to correct pre-existing problems, such as fillings, etc, may be required in order to begin the whitening process. Our dentist will provide an evaluation and recommend specific areas of treatment to ensure successful results.

For the best and lasting results:

● Scaling, polishing and treatment of pre-existing problems, such as fillings, etc, should be performed before whitening process.

● To ensure comfort during treatment, please inform our dentist if you have sensitive teeth or if the dentist should be aware of any other special conditions you may have.

● Practice good oral hygiene. Floss after every meal. Brush your teeth at least twice a day.
